Every living being has a vibration frequency, and so do our cells, tissues, organs, and even emotions.
“Pulsing massage” is a holistic massage that uses rhythmic, movement-based techniques that helps to relax tight muscles, free up emotions buried within the body, and balance out energy centers. The most commonly used spot for this technique is the sacrum. It helps to release tension within the spinal column as well as energetically balance the chakras.
In addition to its therapeutic and healing benefits, this massage is a preventative measure. Massage slows down or speeds up blood and lymph flow and stimulates reflex points. The hormonal foundation also shifts.
What happens to your body during the pulsing massage?
Several different techniques fall under the umbrella term "rhythmic rocking" when applied to the practice of holistic massage. When you swing, your body elongates and stretches. By making pulsating motions, the therapist sends vibrations throughout the body.
Rhythm and motion are the bedrock and central tenants of rocking. Having a steady beat to keep us going is essential to being human. While massaging, pulsating movements set the body to a rhythm.
How is this massage performed, and what are the benefits?
Swinging is most commonly performed with the palm open, with the thumb taking center stage and the other fingers playing supporting roles. A gentle, open palm is constantly there to support the patient's body. The rate at which the body returns to its original position after each rocking is also unique to the individual and the specific part of the body being analyzed.
The level of relaxation experienced by the recipient of the massage is inversely proportional to the speed with which the massage is administered. Consistency and smoothness of rocking are crucial because they induce a state of relaxation throughout the body's musculature and help bring a mental shift leading to a mild kinesthetic trance. The faster the rhythm, the more the body moves in response to a smaller swing. When there is a lot of action, the beat slows down accordingly. Throughout the session, we make use of both methods.
What will you experience?
As your massage therapist works her magic, you may hear the reverberation of your birth again in your cells. During this time, you may experience flashbacks to your embryonic state, recalling feelings of comfort and happiness at being a part of something new. With this approach, you can go deeper into reality's perinatal and even transpersonal levels.
Have you experienced this technique before? If not, would you try this?
